I'm on VPS right now, will move to full dedicated server next month. So the cost for the VPS right now at RM 250.00 and for dedicated server the cost will be RM550.00 per month

See the screenshots attached to see bandwidth usage.

the BW usage is close to 300GB for that site only.

@ Jacky - glad you didn't ask me to share the revenue :P, my site is a community website and target global visitors. Most of the visitors is from US, UK, and Canada.

p/s - I'll take the screenshots showing the demographic of my visitors later

Thanks for sharing the info Alang, you'd be our inspiration on what to strive for. Would love to be in your shoes right now so that I don't have to drive to work everyday.

To share on my part, this is the third month I'm on AdSense. I have 100 visits per day (3000 per month) and averaging USD45 per month. So that would be USD15 per 1000 visits.

I ran a phpBB site and most ads are stuck at phpBB, WebHosting and the likes you see here in this forum. Will move into static content development to get better targeted ads.

BTW, this is my first post here. Glad to know there's a Malaysian webmaster's forum after spending some time at the webmasterworld. Do you guys do teh-tarik sessions?

Hi Kawan,

Thanks for the welcome. Compared to Alang's stats, mine is way too low. My site is still focused on local users, and it's not often we get high-paying clicks (I've seen too many 0.03-cent clicks). Fortunately, my August average payment per click is 0.16 cents. But then again, forums don't really generate good CTR compared to prepared cortents. Visitors go there with the purpose to discuss/chat and won't really be interested in ads.

I believe the global audience/advertisers would provide better paying ads. Thus, I'd follow Alang's footsteps and build a global community for certain subjects.

Hi lcf,

Nice to see you in here. Found your blog through PPS a couple of months back. You are on the right track, bro. Keep it up.

lcf is doing well with his blog. As long as there's fresh interesting content, people will keep coming back and some would be interested in the ads.

Still far from alang's lah~ If not I already quit my current job.

As Jawa said, blog needs frequent updates. One day no updates then the income can drop as much as 30%.
