I am sure there are quite few who have made it but those who make money not from the 'Internet marketing' niche would probably prefer to remain anonymous.

I think the Internet marketing niche is kind of over-crowded. You'll have to offer something different to stand out from the pack.

Anyway, I am always interested to know about Malaysian who are making it big online.

I couldn't agree more on this..but there are lots of people out there who are sellling all kinds of crappy internet marketing rehashed stuff on the internet.

But still, there are people out there who make equally good money from selling those stuff. I suppose they have a pretty huge and responsive list who are nothing but willing to spend a lot money on unnecessary ebooks.

I guess the most popular ones nowadays is this guy called Patric Chan.

If you listen closely enought, this dude gets quite a lot of attention from other internet marketing heavyweights as well. Recent credits being included as one of the Internet World Summit Speakers.

Well, the only thing I could comment on this person is that his ego is so fly high. I think if you could either pay his hourly consultation fees or you are either Joe Vitale or Mark Joyner, then he'll be willing to listen to you more.

That's my 2 cent.

Anyhow ... I agree that web marketing is abit crowded. Even those who are in it are doing things out of this market. I know a dude who's doing so well with [secret] niche, doing about $5K+ a year. Oh yeah, his local. Zamri sometimes drop by here too ... he's into network marketing and MLM market.

And if you know me ... the sites that you see about me is not the only ones I have. Some close friends would know (and if you do, keep it quiet ...)

What would be a challenge for marketers is if they are able to use their Internet marketing skills in the none Internet marketing niche ...

Oh Zamri Nanyan? Yeah I heard of that guy. He's a great dude. In fact I'm one of his subscribers on Internet Marketing. He'll pump in neverending loads of great internet marketing goldmines and stuff. If you read Senze book you'll see his testimonial there.

Yeah..i think i know some of your niche stuff and even some adsense sites. But I'm keeping my mouth shut...that's why I onli list your blog no worries taiko!

There's a funny story about internet marketing though, where I heard there was a guy who authored a book on internet marketing but didn't know how to sell it on the web. duuhhh....

Well anyway, since this thread is about local internet marketing heroes, perhaps is there anyone out there who knows someone who is making tons of money from the internet?

Oh yeah...I heard about Fione Tan from eonenet.com ..though I've never really met her before but I read somewhere that she started out her company with few other dudes but didn't know what to sell! Eventually they began teaching people how to build website to sell and Internet marketing came into the picture naturally for them. She's a great entrepreneur man, but you think she can outsell anyone in internet marketing arena?

A great case study to put into limelight is this guy Richard Quek. Just type in this guy's name into the search engines and it'll yield incredible amount of credibility on this once known a "mahaguru" in internet marketing. I had a few great mamak sessions with this guy and you'll be surprised that he started out 6 years ago in internet marketing when he didn't know how to write an emails...wuah...typical chinaman..!!

I do agree with everyone, internet marketing is a very crowded market.
And yes, we need to closely guard our niche, You know, malaysian people are unique lot.


Plus I don't like when people say "Kaya jual buku nak jadi kaya"

Ewen Chia is very good (The Real Deal: not selling any overpriced beginner's seminar courses) but he is a Singaporean.
