I came across an interesting and rather inspiring thread in Sitepoint.com forum which was started by a member called Mook-Jon.

He began by showing a screenshot of his CJ earning for the month of December 2005 and early January 2006.

This guy is making USD500,000 annually from affiliate program and giving out tips and advices to others. He chose not to divulge his websites info for obvious reasons but someone did a research and managed to discover several of his websites for the rest to analyse. You'll know why that's not a big issue for him once you read the thread.

The discussion is on going. Very useful if you are into affiliate program and looking to read a hands on experience from some who have been there done that.

Affliate programs are known to be money-raking opportunities when implemented successfully. However, 2 of the biggest affiliate marketing program (CJ & Clickbank) does not accept Malaysians. All because fraud.

Well you can count me in. I pop in when time allows. If you are into the techinical aspect of web development, SP can be a good source of reference. I feel the marketing section was not as lively as before, nevertheless there are still gem waiting to be discovered there.

I though someone from this forum mentioned he managed to get in despite that policy. Can't recall exactly what he did.

I was lucky to get into the boat during the late 90s. If you are a CJ affiliates, I suggest you promote eFax.com. It's a pay per lead offer that pays USD15 per lead. Am making average USD30 daily from that offer alone this past few weeks. Yea, that's just two leads per day.

Damn!! US$15 per lead?? That's outrageous.
There is a way to get into CJ. Hop onto Singapore and reg there.
I'm not doing it cause I wanna be legit. Malaysia Boleh!!

A more legitimate (and the proper) way of doing this is to register a company in a supported country. Select one with access to the key sales areas, such as the UK which will allow you to use both global (CJ etc.) networks which include the major US programs and UK based (tradedoubler etc.) networks.

You can form a company in Delaware, USA (very low taxes for companies) via the internet very easily. Likewise for most other major countries, including the UK.

This is acceptable to the networks because they are happy that the legal and accounting infrastructures within the country you are registered in are something they can work with. One fo the problems with Malaysia for companies like CJ is that our national legal and tax system is not yet properly defined for e-commerce and the trade of invisible services.

vince, have you tried this yourself? If you have, I think some people want to know the links of the website where you've registered yourself.

I suspect this can be a lot of hassle for small players trying to figure things out how to pay US taxes.

But I am already a member of CJ. I am paying Malaysian taxes from income generated from the Internet for several years now. No problem one.

Erm, perhaps you guys could ask for a favour from your relatives or friends outside Malaysia. I asked my aunt in the USA to help me set up just a bank account.

With that, I just registered with CJ and clickbank using her house address and my bank account as verification. After filling up one tax form, which is not too much of a hassle, the tax is minused off automatically from my income before it goes into my bank account. For checks, my aunt just withdraws how much she needs to pay off the income tax.

It is not much work really, but as a token of appreciation I give my auntie an extra $500 weekly, just my way of saying thank you for her help!

It's great, really. All my worries and problems disappeared. I mean, they can't trust anyone better than a bank account from their own homeland!

And it's great to know that Malaysians are taking the initiative to dwell into the internet marketing so often dominated by the Americans especially.

I mean, even now I have friends and family members criticizing me for my decision to go into internet marketing, saying the typical Malaysian attitude "no lah, not real one, just want to cheat your money only wan".

If we can't believe in ourselves to be successful online, how can we expect Clickbank and CJ to believe in us?
