Thread: US Dollar is dropping

Is it just me affected with US currency dropped from the revenue you earned monthly or others member here feel the pitch too?

Although the $ is dropping, remember that the CPC is probably going up (in $ terms) - the USA is only one market for adsense - and users in other countries buy adwords in their own currency. i.e. if I bought adwords in Euro at 1 euro/click - then the Adsense advertiser's earning in $ goes up if the Euro / $ rate goes up...

You can actually take advantage of the situation by realizing that your purchasing power has increased proportionally.

My Adwords and Yahoo! advertising costs seems to be more reasonable now days but I get the same amount of traffic if not more. More traffic means more $$$, assuming the conversion rates stay the same.

KevinSpacey - that's absolutely true. When the dollar drops, look to buy more from the US.

after heard various of opinion here, i guess i'm the only affected with US dollar dropped

sorry to say i generate my income from other sources (not adsense or any other ads) received through paypal and withdraw it from third party guy to transfer to my maybank account. and this third party guy increasing the commission as well as decrease the exchange rate.

i have took part at paypal survey feedback and make a clear point that hopefully our malaysian will be able to withdraw our fund soon instead of always depending on third party man.

I am very sorry to hear that you are having such problems with obtaining payment via PayPal. I suggest you investigate other payment processing solutions, especially 2checkout.com.

i did offers alternate payment to my clients however mostly i dealed are american so they preferable paypal...my paypal is verified premier account (so some percentage commission detected from paypal which is normal.)

from the amount detected, it detected 7% commission again from the third party guy who transfered the fund to my maybank and worse of the exchange rate is decreasing given under 3.4

so basically when i got the $$$, its barely just enough to covered the cost and the time i spent doing the work.

in the end all the profit goes to middle man....sigh

however thanks guy for paying attention to my thread.

Yeah i feel it very much because every month the rate will be different, really hate it. Hope that US rate will rise and rise and rise lol

hiya red@frittle, Its not a company, more alike 1 to 1 transaction. If you think 3.4 is low, validmoney offering exchange rate 3.0 which in my opinion a little blood-sucking (sorry no offence for validmoney owner if you reading this)

in what terms do you charge 5 to 6.5% commission? your site stated 6.0%

6.0%... recently USD like rollercoaster...Up and down...sometime reach 7.2%..
