Just to be FAIR for advertlets.

After doing some research.. i think.. (and proved) that advertlets will be fine and better for high traffic like Forum / portal.. and the unique user must be above 500 ++ per day.

The Advertlets action well for my forum at : Pergh - Index .
Got click from visitor (those i don't know).. each click got few cent..
BUT NOW I REALLY THINK IT IS FINE AND VERY GOOD.

That's why im keep trying using advertlets..

So.. for those got high traffic forum.. you should try..

Anyway.. FAQ : Does another type of website accepted? I'ved read here :
Advertlets.com » Putting the ‘bling’ in ‘blogging’ » F.A.Q

Quote:
Do I need a blog to make money through Advertlets?
The Advertlets network is open to primarily blogs, however different types of websites are welcome to apply, such as forums and portals.
So.. except of bad pool matter, it is a good alternative for high traffic site.

Give them a try lah!

Hmm.. pretty low.. I got more between RM3-RM5 from nufnang per week and they dont even request your visitor to fill up the poll.

But still, small amount is always better than nothing at all..

Cheers!

Wah it seems that the discussion on advertlets vs nuffnang is heating up. I've only signed up with them for about 3 weeks and at the moment still at the tweaking stage; adjusting the banner positions and see the different results.

In terms of revenue, looks like signs are pointing towards advertlets, but I am still closely monitoring other aspects as well.

After a few weeks, here are some of my findings so far:

1. I am already seeing revenue from advertlets (close to RM60 for 2 weeks which is quite good since I did not do paid review for them) but nothing from nuffnang (2 weeks). I have the daily visit reports but the earning report is zero in nuffnang.

2. Advertlets support is poor. I send a ticket last week but still no reply. Sigh..

3. Both need to upgrade their tracking facility as it is difficult to see which banners are performing well.

4. I have close to 160 people casting the advertlets poll, but I am still seeing the same banners. I decided to take the poll down.

I will keep on reviewing and any interesting findings I'll keep you guys posted.

Pretty much agree with the findings above.

Earning
I earned from both Nuffnang and Advertlets. Advertlets seems more consistent in term of daily earning as it serves CPM and CPC ads regardless of any fixed contract offer for my website. In the mean time, for nuffnang you have to wait and hope for advertiser to book a fixed cantract (say a week) to put their add on your site and you will be paid based on the contract agreed (only revealed after you served those ads, meaning that at the end of contract period) . So if no advertiser chooses your site then you will earn nothing (you might get tiny CPC earning if you enable allow CPC if no contract available).

Based on my experience, even though Advertlets offers more consistent daily earnings, a fixed contract from Nuffnang is proven to be more luxurious. If you are lucky, you might get better earning from Nuffnang in a week compared to total earning from advertlets in a month. But it also depending on your band (number of visitor) and how your site meet the advertisers need. Nevertheless in my case, overall my earning from Advertlets are slightly better compared to Nuffnang.

Support
In term of support, yes, Nuffnang provide warmer support (they treat you better). But I need to say that both company able to solve all my queries in time.

Tracking facilities
I believe both will improve.

Poll
I manage to get a lot of poll results. After some time, I've taken the poll down as I feel enough is enough.

I do hope both companies will do well in the future and will be able to co-exist for a long time.

till today my nuffnang ads are all counted based on CPC instead of CPM and i only earned 4++ for the past 2 weeks only.... hope to get some CPM ads instead of the CPC one coz nowadays visitors are very smart in detecting ads and refrain themselves from clicking it...

by the way.... do you know that you can also place nuffnang ads on a non-blog site... if you have any site that have high traffic... try to put the nuffnang ads and see what happened...

I have high hope that they could capture more advertisers in the future. Judging by the way they are progressing in the few months since launching, I believe they are on the right track. The only thing we could do is to support them and in the same time market our website.
