I wouldn't recommend HostGator to anyone because there are EXENSIVELY OVERSELLING. Yes, you get a lot and I mean a lot of space and bandwith but the cpu usage is VERY LIMITED.

For a newbie like me, I started with a local webhosting.
Reason.
Pay by bankin. no need credit card.
I can call them at decent hours (time zones you want to call during euro cup hours?)
I can speak Malay, Chinese, English and possibly Indian.
They can understand me better. Mat Salleh cannot understand our spoken english.
Not happy, I go to their office (last resort)
Avoid our big brother telco. Their staff is great at avoiding your problems.
Can bring them to small claims court.

Many local web hosting outfit other than exabytes like webserver.com.my, mesrahosting.net and datakl.
netmyne-i don't know.

Hi Akmacorp, is your target audience local or international? If local, there are many but Exabytes is supposedly the best. If your audience is overseas and you are planning to host at least two websites, it is far cheaper to host at Hostgator.com.
