Is the domainname naming important for SEO?
Wonder whether is the domainname naming important for SEO?
For example, Case 1: malaysiaphotos.com *assumption: no title, no meta tags. Case 2: malaysiaphotos.com *assumption: with title+meta tags: Malaysia Photos Case 3: mysphotos.com *assumption: with title+meta tags: Malaysia Photos In Google/Yahoo/MSN, type: Malaysia Photos. Which case has higher chance to be listed atop? Case 2?

Case 2 will be the best but if many sites are SEOing on "Malaysia Photos", you'll need to work hard in your other aspects of SEO.

after gogling the keyword "malaysia photos" ... it show about 3mil competition for it... i guess 3mil competition isn't tat hard after all...

For MSN Live Search, it totally have an impact to put the keywords as the domai n name. But not for the big G, and lesser for Yahoo.

I believe a domain name will always play a role in SEO. However, because corporate companies can't start putting www. webdesignmalaysiacompanyname .com, so in the end they will rely on other factors like content and etc.
I'd like to borrow this thread on a speculation I need clarification related to domain names: Quote:

Keywords in your domain name help a little, but it's better to get a good memorable name than worry about keywords in it. The ideal is to combine the two.
You are not actually penalized, but domains registered for longer are trusted more, because they are less likely to be spam sites.
