First of all i would like to introduce my self 1st since i just registered my self here , yeah im a new guy on "this" block.

ok, this is how my thread sounds, there is something that keep bugging me, i registered a free subdomain few months ago (>3months) with freehostia[dot]com the url of my site mortgagecalculator[dot]freehostia[dot]com (sry i cant post link since im newbie )

The problem is it never got indexed by Google but Googlebot did crawled my site before. I had read Google webmaster guide on how to build an "Google-Friendly" web pages and i found that i never violate their so call friendly rules. So izzit the free hosting problem or just purely my web pages problem? If any 1 encounter such case plz list down the free hosting site here so our webmasters here can avoid using their service. Thankz

many factor involve in order to get your site indexed in google. even you have a very friendly web pages does not guarantee that.
having google bot crawled into your site doesn't mean it will index you immediately

from what I know from others seo gurus
you need some 'good' link to your site in order to get it indexed faster.
these 'good' link were backlink from a site with good pr, traffic and so on.
so, backlink popularity is one of the main factor to get your site indexed in search engine

try to submit your sitemap to google sitemap... it help to gg to index your site better...

yea, i trying to be active in some related forum and placing my site url as signature, maybe i need to be more aggressive (dun worry not spamming around) Since not necessary the page(s) got indexed even googlebot had crawled the particular site(s), then what is the purpose of googlebot? googlebot download stuff from the web server and what it going to do with the downloaded file since my pages are not indexed?

i already submitted google sitemap, yahoo sitemap, varies directories but still cant be indexed in 3 months time. At 1st i thought its the subdomain hosting problem but realize its not after i did some googling and manage to get some webpages from the same subdomain hosting indexed in google

does gg sitemap reports any error on the indexing?? try to have a look...

another way to know whether gg indexed properly is to do a search on the google search with the following

"site:freehostia.com"

if it show all your pages... then it indexed properly... else try to use other software to generate your sitemap...

by using google webmaster tool i see no error shown for my sitemap and "site:http://mortgagecalculator.freehostia.com" return no result also. google webmaster tool will show some data if particular pages being indexed, but for my case the statistic is Null and it says that google have not index any of my pages. too bad

gg does not return any error on the sitemap, the status is OK. i did a search on site:mortgagecalculator.freehostia.com, link:mortgagecalculator.freehostia.com etc and gg return Null. i guess i will try another generator to generate the sitemap again, any recommended generator? i use Create your Google Sitemap Online - XML Sitemaps last time
