I have submit my sitemap at google webmaster tools.

i saw before another type of submitting method with using Sitemap using an HTTP request
any different btw manual submit and http request?

it is used to let the search engine robots/crawler know that you created/updated the sitemap and they will download and replace the existing sitemap in their database.

more ping options:

Yahoo: see--> Site Explorer Documentation for Yahoo! Search Web Services

MSN Live Search: see--> Live Search Webmaster Center Blog : Microsoft to Support Cross-Domain Sitemaps

The outcome is the same.

Is it a must to have sitemap?Because i found it hard to install.

Thanks for advise,because i saw a lot of people emphasized how important the sitemap then i am just wondering whether i need to do it not.

for my experiece, after submit my sitemap, traffic from google really increase (after google crawl my sitemap)

ya sure,

you need to download the sitemap generator plugin from wordpress.org, generate a sitemap like http://blog.icalvyn.com/sitemap.xml

once you have this
go to google webmastertools submit the sitemap, and wait for google come to crawl your website.

Ok,thanks.But i am using blogspot at the moment,is it the same?

blogspot do have limitation, why don host your own wordpress?

actually using the blogspot you also can submit the site map to google webmaster tools, but just a bit of research you have to do on it. I did it, but i lost the web that i refer too...
