3 content pages, not pages that include link. Sitemap only included link with other site.

That's why I said content pages, not page.

lol jawa, nice post. Im no SEO guru but i've frequent SEO forum recently and learned the same thing. To rank high in Google, all you need is offpage optimization. Well this explains why you search Google for "failure" and what you get is Bush's biography haha!

Yes, it is possible. SE rank "page", not "site". If that page have very strong good incoming links from trusted sites, it can even rank in very competitive keywords.

minisites don't work anymore
Just done a quick check on the ranking of those sites...seems that all of them have been kicked out from the Google SERPs ...hmmm..so much so for the 3-5 page minisites...those SEO gurus could be right in the first place...these pages won't last long...
