A way to increase traffic and PR

Hello, guys! I'd like to know your opinion about such a way. Look: if you build a custom soft (a little but useful maybe deskbar or a toolbar), register it in a software catalogues that may bring a new traffic to your site. Also, it may increase your PR, 'cause you'll get a lot of your links on a highly popular sites. how do you find such a way?

Didn't I offer you a way, vcheewei? I offer you to build your own software and register it in a catalogues, thus you'll get a lot of your links on a highly popular sites. Now I want to know your opinions about this way. Dou you think that it may work? Or do you doubt it?

as i thought, that's not a proven way, even urself still in doubt.
anyway, my point is, that might not increase ur PR drastically but it will allow your site to be listed in search engine easily. Good idea though but it wont increase ur traffic alot, since u might not get high PR that way and u wont be spotted easily from the catalogue site since there are many other products too, unless u pay.

That's in my opinion, i'm not sure what will others think.

Who said I doubt it?

I just want you to share your opinions. You're about search engines, that's a benefit too. But about traffic... If it would be a little, free and useful software (a toolbar maybe) it should be popular, so it may increase your traffic. And about PR. Why do you think that it wouldn't be increased? You'll get a lot of links, leading to your site form a sites with a high PR. So your PR would be increased too.

Actually, it's both a good and proven way of increasing both traffic and PR (and sales too if done well).
