PR 7 for a low traffic new site!

I am surprised.

Check this site: http://www.yvonnefoong.com/ , read the PageRank. It is PR 7!

weird, it seems like there is hundreds of links from bbc news site and others big sites

but the links to her site is nowhere can be found. amazinggg!! wat is the trick? :P

The site only has less than 8 backlink. Few from several forums, and only one from a PR 4 page (http://www.kamigoroshi.net/). Which is, virtually IMPOSSIBLE to reach PR7. If you know a thing about PR, you will know how hard it is, to reach PR6, not to mention PR7.

The only assumption can be made is Google gives advantages to a 18 years old girl's well beingness (to spread the awareness about Neurofibromatosis).

it's sort of weird actually. for example check the html of the first result of "link:www.yvonnefoong.com" , which would be http://docfilm.weblogsinc.com/entry/1234000307035827/
at the end of the html you'd see this right before the </body> tag:

i don't see what are those for, it's like free search engine purpose linking to yvonne's website?

for the second result and the next results which were BBC NEWS page, i can't even find the link to her website.

But then again try searching for yvonne foong - she isn't somebody new on the net. Even my name returns 1k plus results. She has over 3k results.

Seems like she has been blogging for a while. And maybe one change to forum profiles gives he hundreds of links though the sigs.

Another thing that I notice is that sites linking to her are mostly news sites relating to issues in Afghanistan.

Could this have been an inside job?

I mean this is quite amazing... Content is 10000% king(http://nerdlib.com) but to reacha PR7 in a half year is pretty astounding.....

Run with it.... start selling ad space etc etc...Thats what I would do..

With little research, it reveal that this domain has been online previously before the current domain owner register it.

The fact is that the domain is previously used for an Afghanistan website, that's why you see lot's link from Afgha related website. Also before the domain expired, it's already has high PR. Sadly, the website died and the domain expired.

Thus, when the current owner register the domain, it get those high PR and lot's inbound links benefits.

There is no inside job, trick or whatsoever.
