Tag and Ping.
Hi there...i'm a newbie and can you guys explain to me the meaning of Tag and Ping and how to do it..thank you.

Tag as in provide one or more meaningful description in one word to an article, a blog post, photo, or anything.
Ping as in notifying the aggregator (such as technorati) the update/creation of your article/blog post. Am I missing anything?

I'm not sure about tag, but is something related to keywords in a blog, and ping is a call to sites that updated RSS feeds.
When you ping a service, that service is alerted that something new is cooking at your URL
