It is the only tips that works so well for me in blogging: spend time writing your content, and then spend more time promoting it.

For example, in one of my blog post: Linkedin SEO Guide. I spent around 20 minutes to craft up the content, including screenshot and stuff. And then, I spent 40 minutes, just to write custom email to each one of the blogs that would be interested at this post. I have to be genuine and hoping that I wouldn't be come across as spam.

I ended up lucky: getting mentioned by SEOmoz, Search Engine Land, Small Business SEM and more.

It doesn't work all the time though. Sometimes your content is horrible, and you happened to not knowing about it.

haha.. i also spend around 3 to 5 hours posting 4 articles a day depending mostly on the information and sources -- easy to collect or not.

Yeah. That's what I'm saying.

If you spent so much time crafting your best piece, it would be worthless if you don't more time promoting it.
