Intel Core 2 Quad is already out. Now we have more and more core in one processor with extra more processing power.
It gives you 4 processing engine but most likely, you only utilise 1 of them

wondering how many software take advantages of quad core processor.... or does windows itself really support the tech of quad core...

seems there are already a oct (8) core prototype running, just the matter of time when it got to the consumer but again, what sort of people or software need those power?
afterall, the primary data source that get processed aka the hard disk speed is very much limited. so, matter how fast the processor or how much RAM, it still need to wait for the data come out from the hard disk.
