Question Microsoft Frontpage XP

I'm just a beginner in web building and I'm building my personal site with Frontpage XP. But when I upload my files and click on index.htm, the theme I chose while I create my site was replaced with a white page. The words were still there, though.

Thankx.

Re :

Check whether the server support with Frontpage Extension or not.

Check on the server whether you already upload the theme file or not, if not you can't see anything.

Hope this will help you :-)

Good day!

Hi sunshinerocke

Yes, you have to upload all the theme file, this is the disadvantage of using theme.

I recommend that you use Dreamweaver, because there is less "extra" coding inside your page.

Good Day!

Re sunshinerocke

Hi there,

You can save the image in gif file or jpg file, and then when you are in frontpage, Click Insert > Picture > From file.

Good Day!

sunshinerocke : I also face the same problem 2 years ago (when I just start to build my own website)...don't worry it just a small mistake...

the tips is...in frontpage...after you create your website with their theme...you need to publish all the file locally first (this trick will avoid you from server which support frontpage or not). Choose File and click publish. There Frontpage will ask you where to publish. For example create a blank folder in your desktop and ask Fronpage to publish all your site to this blank folder.

So, all your website already publish in your computer. You may check your link and website in that folder.....and if everything is fine...use third party FTP software (cute FTP, WS FTP LE, Crystall FTP pro) or Site Updater software to upload your website...and I believe your problem will solve

Good Luck

Actually, Frontpage XP is a lot easier rather than Frontpage 2000. XP has more theme too and you have more control to your website...
