yeps.. sokong la.. pada aku plain text adelah lebih bagus..sbb dulu memula aku kenal html aku taip sesatu huruf kat notepad.. jd sesapa yg buat pakai notepad mesti tau apa yg di buat oleh setiap kod..

utk php scripting aku suka pakai HtmlKit.. bole la di kategorikan plain text editor.. cuma dia ade line number & code highliting.. tu je yg suka.. klu error senang nk check lain mana2.. get it www.chami.com .. klu install plugin php/mysql lg bagus..sbb bole la tgk function yg ade lam php.. kekadang tu lupa cemana function tu..

I'm using HTML Kit, even to create a site from scratch. Using dreamweaver only when I start creating website 7 yrs ago. Now get use will all the html code and for me HTML Kit is the best to edit and create html because it have the built on macro that autocomplete the code when you type

@alang: you are great one. I still rely on web page preview while coding. I am curious that how do you do web design code using 100% code view?

I still preview it in a browser la, if I not preview how can I know whats my site looks like. But I really don't like the WYSIWYG editor like dreamweaver.

I used to use MS Frontpage years back. Actually the first software I used is MS Publisher. Those old days, will smile when I look back those website I done many years back.

But till today, eventhough using Editplus, once in a while I still use the MS Frontpage for preview purpose.

notepad takde syntax highlighting.

I prefer textpad, but I think an editor with syntax highlighting would be better.
Zend IDE is also good for php apps.

Recommended a LIGHT(can open in 5 seconds on Pentium III) php/html editor with code highlight/syntax error checking/auto complete features? (prefer FREEWARE )

Anyone please?

I am using NotePad++, it is light and code hightlight but no auto complete and syntax error checking.

Easier to preview in MS Frontpage, with the sourcecode and preview in the same window. If preview in browser, will have to save the file, then refresh the file in browser everytime after making changes and save. Troublesome. Especially when dealing with lot's table.
