PSD is the Photoshop file. For the new modified image to be displayed you should edit the image with photoshop then save as image (jpeg, gif or png) .. right??

just select where the part you've changed.
save it as jpg / png or the same format as the one you wanted to replace.
(make sure the size remain same, the position bla bla bla).

btw, you need to know at least basic skill in photoshop.

you can use the lasso tools to select the region that you want copy out..
or simply crop out the logo part you wanted and erase all thing that you don't want....

actually this is really2 easy thing for me to do.. not even reach 1 minute
but it was really2 hard to explain / guide people how to do...

Check the photoshop tools.. there's marquee / selection tool.. select the area..
Edit - copy merged
New - file - ok - paste
File - save for web

tadaaaa!

Easy to do. Follow mysticmind's instructions. If you get stuck, read the Photoshop help, where you can also learn how to split up an image and automatically create the code required to make it into a web page.

Actually you can edit the part u want then select a slice tool to slice out the image. Then click save for web or ctrl+alt+shift+S. Select the part u want and save the selected slice into either png or gif. for the size. It really not a big problem coz u can resize in photoshop also. It is depend on how you want it tobe displayed in your web.
