my first ever wysiwyg html editor was Netscape Composer I've a lot of fun with that thing.

I dont knoe when i start using Dreamweaver ... but its version 3 already when i change to it. Now its version 4.

With Dreamweaver i learb many - many thing Like arrange the table .. layering ... css ...

now i use Html-Kit ... easy to put CSS ...

my first html editor was notepad. and i'm still using it. i'm from the non-wysiwyg editor generation, i learned the hard way, learning the HTML codes/tags first hand... and remmembering them...

i don't believe in wysiwyg... i think it's supposed to be wysiwtbg (what you see is what the browser get)... different platform, different output. notepad (or any other ascii text editor) gives the designer full control over the page.

i can still remmember my first html page... just a bold text saying "welcome to zaim's homepage"... and i almost cried when i saw that (exagerated)...

skarang ni aku guna dreamweaver....
sebelum ni... aku ada cuba beberapa html editor lain....cam....pagemill, ,netscape composer, frontpage, golive dan tah apa apa lagi....
bila dah try dreamweaver.... terus jatuh cinta...... dan aku lupa yg lelainnya.....

I started design web page using notepad, because i learn html from the begining. That's was a hard time me, i spend a month to design a few page.

After this i know Frontpage 2000, and start using it. Although this software is not the best, but i still using it comfortable because i already know how.

Another reason i didn't use Dreamweaver because on that time i learn web design, the college is teaching using frontpage, and Flash & Dreamweaver is not very popular that time...

So until now i am still using Frontpage 2000, from my experience i know that when you use something for a long time, it's hard to change, don't you agree, hehe :-)

Anyway i think i will go for Flash and dreamweaver in the near future because i know this 2 software is more powerful :-)

nie exp aku pulak....

Mulanya aku kenal dunia web, member aku ajar aku guna notepad. Mak datuk, susah bebenor. pastu keluar ler IE 4 yang sekalikan frontpage express. Aku tak suka netscape waktu tu sebab berat kat komputer lama aku...so jarang ler aku pakai netscape composer.

Bila dah pakai Frontpage Express, aku mula ler berjinak jinak dengan Frontpage. Nie frontpage yang first sekalik....tapi tak berapa reti nak pakai...belajar dari interactive CD....pastu reti pakai....happy giler. Waktu tu memang aku tau sikit sikit jer pasal raw HTML coding.

Kemudian keluar Frontpage 2000. Kat sini aku belajar banyak about developing a website. Kat sini gak ramai suruh aku buat website (salah satunya pejabat kesihatan (pergigian) negeri kedah). Aku buat lah..problem utama aku adalah layer dan CSS. Kat sini baru aku terasa Frontpage 2000 banyak sangat kekurangannya.

Aku dah tau Dreamweaver memang power, tapi macay Yuchee cakap, nak berubah dari satu software ke software yang lain tu bukan senang. Apatah lagi aku dah faham sangat ngan Frontpage aku tu. Tapi aku tak kira...abis buat website kerajaan tu, aku start belajar dreamweaver guna help file dia. Okey...kemudia keluar versi 4. Kat versi 4 nie, aku belajar guna lagi banyak dan mula lupakan Frontpage dah. Walaupun dreamweaver tak semudah Frontpage, tapi having full control about our website memang best. Kat sini baru aku belajar HTML raw coding....tujuan utama, nak tweak page aku.....

Lepas tu aku joint webmaster malaysia.com.....talking about slicing and aku guna Photo Impact 7 & Dreamweaver untuk hasilkan expert3d.cjb.net versi 2. Fireworks try nak belajar..tapi sebab aku dah lama pakai photo impact, aku lebih familiar ngan photo impact, aku pilih photo impact.

Tweak beyond it Limit!

Aku tengok member aku guna MS Word.. Sebab dah biasa dengan Word, so buat homepage pun guna Word, pastu save as webpage.

Bila dah publish dalam HTML guna IE, aku try ler view source guna Notepad. Cuba hayati source code nyer. Payah betul nak paham. Nampak button dalam IE, Edit with Frontpage, barulah mula kenal Frontpage. Dan sampai sekarang ni dok guna Frontpage untuk buat website... Kekadang guna dreamweaver, kekadang tu guna forntpage.

Carta aliran aku : MS Word --> Notepad --> Frontpage --> Dreamweaver

notepad paling best lah aku rasa. tapi kalo ade scripting aku suka pakai homesite, sbb ader color. tapi notepad tetap dihati.

masa aku start dulu ade la pakai notepad, frontpage, dreamweaver,coffeacup, dll... mmg best semua prog ni, pasal setiap prog ade kelebihan tersendiri. tapi sejak blaja coding pakai php ni, aku pakai zend studio pasal documentation pasal php dier lengkap, so bile offline pon bole refer and etc kalau bab graphic, adobe je la lagi pon tak reti edit or modify graphic pon :P
