Disable Delete & upload? how?

i have been exploring all this ftp yesterday (sorry if it sound like stupid question me still newbie at web thing hehe )

So here is the scenario, I have set cpanel a new account ftp login at a test host, but i still cant figure out how to disable the login from deleting a file like showing:-

550 Deleting "blah.mp3" failed (Permission denied).

Any help or pointed site for me to read will be appreciated. Thanks!

i think, in cpanel you CAN'T do like that.. there's no option to set permissions for the ftp user..

however.. you can setup UPLOAD TO FOLDER..
example = for the user name zapgirl : login name = zapgirl[@]domain.com
setup upload file dir to = /home/domain/public_html/xuserx-folderhere ..

so that's mean all their files will be upload into the folder only

and no risk ur file in /home/domain/public_html or /your-file-n-folder or other folder to be delete..

maybe that can help .
