Hey guys,

currently I'm doing a flash project which is running like a desktop animation,

Do anyone flash professional knows how to create button which can open local pc's folder like My Computer, My Documents and also open softwares like flash.exe

Guess u get what do I mean, something like I design a My Computer Button by Flash, then i click on it, the My computer will open..Then I create a flash.exe button, once i click the software will open.

Please, this is urgent, do anyone know the action script or whatever, please reply me as fast as possible. Thanks.

I've tried something like
getURL ("My computer"); but it's not allow to on and said invalid address.

err... i doubt that you can control a pc software(.exe) file via flash.. if a flash can fireup any software in a pc then it would be very very dangerous opening a flash website via browser...

imagine that when you open a website and its embeded flash scripts fireup the my documents folder and start deleting everything in it. more dangerous than javascripts virus...

anyway... its just my teory... good luck on your project

iamfreelancer, it's better I declare something, it's an offline flash which is work as desktop. It's not open via any website but its application itself. Mean with desktop.swf, I can open My Computer, My documents and software that I put within the flash. The flash is not open via browser as well. When the click of the button, a new Explorer.exe open and view the directed folder may pop up, while the desktop.swf is still remain the same page. Hopefully you understand this time. So, do u know any solutions of that?
