Online Secure PDF Viewer... Any suggestion?

I want to develop a website that have collection of PDF files. but I want to allow visitor to just view only. They cannot download the PDF document due to the copyright restrictions. Does anyone know if there is already a component or module for this? the site will be developed in php.

You can use Snag-it to do the screen capture. That will solve the problem.

I'm sorry Edmund Ng, Snag-It won't solve my problem, it could make it worst.

Hi. I think .pdf itself has certain security type of things that you can set for each documents. You can do that with Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.

hmm... i'm thinking about having a secure web based viewer. It suppose to let visitor to view only the pdf file. They can't keep it for offline viewing nor can copy & redistribute them. Didn't I make it clear to all of you?

If you said adobe acrobat, it's not a good solution. visitor who don't have adobe acrobat viewer can't view them. I'm Linux user and I do expect visitor who use linux like me to visit the site and view the books.

So, the best solution suppose to be an online viewer that did not depends on local software that have to be pre-installed on their PCs.

Any good solution idea please?

i'm pretty sure, there is websites have done that before.... you may have a look on amazon book preview or google book or questia.com. i just wondering if anyone here knows that already, so i can save my time for the redundant research.

anyway, if none of you ever experience this nor have any suggestion, then i'll have to find it out myself. thanks all...

.pdf file cannot be embed into a webpage.
you can open directly in firefox but still need acrobat reader installed . Without it ,by default option is download.

There's no such plugin for browser to view pdf file in a page. So i dont think any solution for it.

UNLESS.. IF there's the way of JAVA APPLET or FLASH, but i don't had idea how to make it.
