How long does it take to show on the webpage after you publish it?
This time round, I am more careful. I tried to amend only the Title and see if it shows. I tried the whole afternoon but it just doesn't show.
Whereas in the html code, it does show.
But when I check again this morning, Viola! there it is.
Does it take that long?
Just yesterday alone, I use NVU, FileZila, and webpage maker.
I thought the problem is with me.
But I guess not now.

That could be the cache in your browser, or a proxy cache somewhere between you and your webhost, or even a webserver cache on the webhost. It's annoying when that happens - I had the same problem this morning with some cached Java Applets, the only reliable way I could get the most up to date version was to close my browser completely and restart it. Refreshing, clearing the cache etc, just wasn't doing it. I'm still not sure what that was all about.

I always try to do my development on a local server - aside from the safety (do you want your visitors to see your mistakes?) and speed, it does ensure you don't get any caches interfering with your updates. I either run a webserver on my laptop, or on an old P2-266 I keep for just that purpose.

where did you publish the web?
a paid hosting ? free hosting? or u host it urself?

Finally, I did it.
I don't know whether it's Coffeecup or it's because I am more daring.
I backup the original to my computer and then delete it from the web and then post mine in.
It's there. The result is instant! Yeah!
