What you could do is read the wikipedia article about RTSP: Real Time Streaming Protocol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia And check one of wikipedia's handy lists: List of streaming media systems - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Read carefully the part about unicast / multicast and their effect on your required bandwidth. I imagine your boss wants money for 'casts? No point in recommending YouTube then... I tried VideoLAN and Helix DNA Server in the past. They both seemed to work just fine, but it was only a demo, not an actual application. |

how must is your budet on webcasting?
by the means of webcasting, are you referring to streaming servers? I have experience with adobe streaming server, its great but it costs you $$$ Try this, Bits on the Run Affordable price and its service is excellent. I run a few websites for clients with streaming medias. I'm just not sure about your requirements. Btw, the jw player on the above link, is the greatest player for me. It supports rmtp protocol too. |
