Color scheme ideas...
a friend of mine recommended this site:
http://www.pixy.cz/apps/barvy/index-en.html a very nice tool to generate color schemes. simply enter in your base color and it'll generate matching colors/shades...

On the bottom left, there's a link: "About & Help" that explains how to use the tool.
