Trying to really style this site (succeeding so far) and validate it (fail!). Where did I go wrong?

The style declarations for links should go in this order, otherwise it may break in some browsers:

a:link
a:visited
a:hover

As far as I know a:visited:hover is not a valid code. I assume this problem about the links is what you are referring to. If not, do tell me more specifically what you are attempting.

Ya, right. Remember, LoVe HAte:
L - a:link
V - a:visited
H - a:hover
A - a:active

As for a:focus, it's between HAte.
It's valid, dude. Just that IE don't like it.

you should put a comma between those two, like a:visited, a:hover: color:#00000;
