Hi guys,

i wanted to know if there's any software or something that i can use to update my content automatically for daily or weekly. I know there's some kind of script for Php/perl or something.. i'm a noob. and i do not know how to use ithese stuff. And if that's the only way it works. Please explain to me abit more detail of how to use it.

the only automated update for content I can think of is RSS where by you display the headlines of the latest articles from another site on your site and will be updated automatically when the source site is updated.

Perhaps you mean something else, do you have a name or reference for us to check it out?

Maybe can set up scheduled tasks in Windows or cronjobs in Linux/UNIX to to run specific scripts to automatically update the contents at interval.

When the scheduled time event is triggered, the scripts will be executed automatically.

Like what seraphangel said, RSS is totally different, cause its not your own content... This is about how you set your content to rotate automatically in future so that you don't have to monitor your updates !.
And i think this site would be really useful to learning it. Check out Rotating Content Tool - Home Page !! Its really useful. I use their technique for my site (www. twelvezodiac.com). Try to mix it with Iframe, its really useful.
