To make ASP run under Linux, PHP script files are saved as ASP extensions and are redirected to the PHP interpreter. So it looks like the server serves ASP files, but these are actually PHP scripts.

Hi,

Apache web server have an extension to run ASP on linux/unix web servers. But the question remains, why the hell would anyone wants ASP when you an have PHP which is more flexible and more secure? That is my point of view the least.

i think i'm one of the hell person that want to run asp in linux too.... over the year i have writen quite a number of thing in both asp and php.... sometime i'm lazy to recode my ASP into PHP.... so if linux can have asp, it save hell of many hours for me... wat can i say.... i'm lazy...

i managed to get my IIS to run PHP, MYSQL, phpmyadmin..... but still couldn't get the Apache to run asp ...

Yes it is possible.
But it takes lots of hassle.
And not many web host offers this.
