just a tip, it's not a new forum rule or a must. it'll make everybody's life easier, i guess
![]() the tip is: RTFM, which means: Read The Fine Manual! ![]() that's right, read the PHP/MySQL manual before posting. who knows your question might already been answered in a better way inside the manual. also, most of the time, the info in the manual is much more complete and sometimes might give away a few extra points. ![]() i know some of you might disagree with me. ppl might say that an explanation from another person or a friend might be much more easier to understand than an explanation written in a manual. this could true in some cases, it can also be wrong in other cases. the point is, who knows, your question might already been answerd in a better way inside the manual. like i said earlier ![]() i guess it wouldn't hurt to take a peek? right? ![]() here are the links to all related manuals: PHP: main PHP manual listing: http://www.php.net/docs.php PHP manual online (english): http://www.php.net/manual/en Downloadable PHP manual listing: http://www.php.net/download-docs.php i recommend downloading the Windows HTML Help version, because it's easier to navigate and search with it. the url is: http://www.php.net/distributions/man..._manual_en.chm (english) MySQL: main MySQL documentation listing: http://www.mysql.com/documentation/index.html Searchable & commented version: http://www.mysql.com/doc/ HTML, 1 page page per chapter: http://www.mysql.com/documentation/mysql/bychapter/ HTML, all in one (warning: it's quite big): http://www.mysql.com/documentation/mysql/full/ downloadable versions listing: http://www.mysql.com/documentation/mysql/alternate.html again, i recommend downloading the Windows HLP version, here: http://www.mysql.com/Downloads/Manua...2002-07-26.zip that's all i guess. any other opinions and suggestions are welcomed! bye ![]() |
