Hi,

Your installation method is for the ISAPI module. If you're only going to use PHP on that machine on a development level, I recommend you install the CGI module instead of the ISAPI module - it's much simpler to install (if you don't know how to install the ISAPI module).

What version do you have? If you're not sure wether you have the CGI or ISAPI module, goto the directory where you installed PHP (if you used the binary installer). Look for a file named php.exe. If the version you downloaded didn't have an installer, see if it has the file php.exe. If it does have that file (php.exe), it's a CGI module, if not, it's a ISAPI module, download the CGI module (it's easier to get the binary version - the msi installer).

Once you've installed everything, edit the httpd.conf and add the following lines (right at the bottom is fine):

ScriptAlias /php/ "c:/php/"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php.exe"

For your question about the php4ts.dll dan php-ini.bg files, if you are running the CGI module, the php4ts.dll remains in the php directory (C:\PHP) and the 'php.ini' is in the Windows root directory. 'php-ini.bg' is probably just a backup of that file, php.ini
