Hi guys, I just get start with JSP coding. I am looking for a good JSP editor.

Features wish to have:
- free
- syntax hightlight (especially for JSP)
- code completion

It is easy to find freeware with JSP syntax highlighting, but hard to get a editor with code completion. I need code completion feature to help me to code the JSP pages faster and more accurate. hehehe...

Any idea? Thank you in advance.

zmiey, kalau boleh, kau upload la installer dengan crack myeclipse tu dekat mane² ke, senang nak download balik nanti. aku register dekat myeclilpse tu tak dapat² lagi confirmation. hmm, about that GEL thing, give the URL la, easier maa.

Just a simple one, use UltraEdit.. it's just an editor.. can use for HTML, JSP, ASP, XML, java, and more

I will suggest you `EditPlus2`, for coding `Java`,`JSP/JSTL`,`HTML`, `PHP`,`asm`, `XML\XSTL` ... you name it!

It provides:
- some simple compile function
- syntax highlight
- no code completion

Or you can try `JCreator` for:
- a better UI
- ... and yes code completion
- ... faster than all IDEs.

I have been using these 2 software tru out my J2SE&J2EE projects, they served me well.
Never like other IDE like JBuilder,Eclipse, ... they were too slow for me, but recently I found 1 powerful IDE: `Sun Java Studio Creator EA2R2`. I have a P4HT 3.2+ upgraded to 1GB Ram ... only it runs better. But believe me it has all the edge-features like: WSDL, JSF, Portlet, if time frame is your concern ... use an IDE; if not learn by using simple text editors+some command prompt (you'll experiance a lot)!

ibm's eclipse and sun's netbeans are good ide for java. myeclipse looks nice for jsp/servlet, never tried it though.
