Hi, saya nak tanya sket kat otai-otai kat sini, kenapa lepas saya install mySQL ver 4.1.8 saya tak bole guna command kat command prompt seperti ipconfig, net user dan lain-lain.Sebelum saya install mySQL, semua program tu boleh berfungsi, tapi lepas saya install mySQL, ia akan keluar perkataan ini kat command prompt: cth:

'ipconfig' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file

'net' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file

apa yg harus saya buat untuk membolehkan semua program tu berfungsi semula? terima kasih

try this:

> goto 'Enviroment variables' setting
> Modify the value of 'path' (add anything) and click OK, OK...
> Restore the setting just now and click OK, OK...

It works for me. I guess the mySql modify the setting somewhere in registry. You need to modify the 'Enviroment variables' to make sure it points to the correct path and windows make the changes to the registry when you save the setting.

I've change the path in environment variables from this

";%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\ System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel;C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin"

to this

"%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Progra m Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel;C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;"

now, all my problem is fix.Thanks
