how to connect to mysql5.0 from php4? help me plzz
hey guys... i need ur help... i have problem on how to connect to mysql 5 from php 4. Normally i used mysql 4 and there is no problem with it.. when i change to mysql 5 there is warning said that
Warning: mysql_connect(): Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\test\test.php on line 12 Failed connect to db anyone know how to solve it???? plssssssss...thx

may i know how to check... and if it is using different encryption, how to solve it??? anybody plzzz... thanks

|
The bundled version of libmysql library with PHP4 does not handle authentication of new MySql5, so you can not connect to the database. Try using PHP5. Or find the libmysql version that works with MySql5.
