for all the webmasters out there, an miserable innocent little guy here got a question..

when we are doin website despite is a html, php, flash etc based, of course we will definitely test the cross browser compatibility, this could easily be done by those browser which are not under the same roof, eg: IE, FF, Opera, Maxthon etc,
but for IE6 and IE7, how u all gonna test their compatibility? as u can only have 1 kind of IE in ur pc, is either an IE6 or IE7, even though IE sux, but still we cant ignore the existence of it as there are still a lot of ppl using IE6 and the IE7 user is increasing by time..

so wanted to know any good idea on how to troubleshoot this 2 browser's compatibility without using 2 pcs?

If you have already installed IE7 you can install multiple versions of IE on your PC - tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE

If you haven't installed IE7 you can use IE7 running side by side with IE6 (standalone IE7) - tredosoft.com/IE7_standalone

limcs: the browsershot, is it u submit the url and they will take a screenshot and display "screenshots" there? tried few times but in the end nothing come out at there although i waited for more then 30 minutes for each try

browsershot works if yr site is accessible from internet - so it won't work when you're working offline. Once submitted to browsershot you need to come back again to the page after sometime (>30mins) to see uploaded images. Not fast enough for meaningful development works.
