Lolyco.com
Hi Seanie, seems like you are too shy to publicize your wife's blog while you have none yet to publicize! Let me to do it for you then, LOL.
Lolyco.com's layout is simple and that's what Adam Urbanski's article which I had translated in my blog says it should be! (Blunder No. 8). The layout color of Lolyco.com is a very nice feminine color. Navigation is clear. However, to increase traffic further, ask your wife to add in blog articles. It drives traffic like crazy if well-written. I know this from personal experience. Although I just started my blog only very recently, with not many articles to show, those few pages are doing better than even my most popular pages! Try it and see and you will thank me for that, LOL. (Not a new idea but yet, many people don't do it.) Also with blog articles, you can get StumbleUpon, Technocrati, and many others to help you drive traffic to your website. You informed them everytime you add an article and they will advertise your article in their respective websites. Don't use article rewriter, that is for people who wants to make a fast buck, and you know what fast buck is. Your wife is in real business, not fly-by-night, as evidenced by the feeling that I get when I view it. Will be glad if I can assist you, but then I am not so much into personal hygiene, oopphhhs! hehehe. Damn dirty fellow! Wear shoes but don't wear socks, hehehe. Seanie, actually you don't need to start your own blog. Just get involved in your wife's business and help her to write articles. That would be more fruitful than split your efforts. Read my blog article on "Kesilapan Ke-2 – Perhatian yang terbahagi kerana memiliki terlalu banyak idea yang baik". |

How come I cannot edit the above article? The first sentence should read:
Hi Seanie, seems like you are too shy to publicize your wife's website (not blog) while you have none yet to publicize! |

Is there any animation? I didn' see any, LOL. I am using Firefox browser but it sure looks good, even without animation!
WordPress is so popular today. I asked my webhost about security problems and they say that any software that allows the public to edit will always have security problems. Wonder how true it is. I googled "how to secure your blog or website" and got this article which is so informative that I have no patience to read. My limit is only 500 words, LOL. I think blog.lolyco.com should be alright. Actually, the blog's IP address will be closely tied to the main domain name, anyway. What is important is the blog contents, and the ability to allow readers to interact by way of giving comments. (Seems like nonsense topics will get more comments than serious topics, LOL.) To me, adding a forum can come later. Remember Blunder No. 2 as stated in my current blog article, LOL. Focus on one thing at a time. Who is your target audience? If it's Malaysian market, that explains it. I can't say more but Malaysians are not well-known for their love for reading, what more writing, LOL. Don't bother to give RM20 notes, all else I will be writing there everyday! RM20 is too much to pay for a review. But if you must, give say RM100 for the best review of the month, and 5 or 10 consolation prizes of RM10 each, otherwise you will have people writing half past six reviews and yet expecting to be paid, me for example, LOL. |

Seems like the edit button is not functioning at all! It can't save the edits.
What I want to edit is this: To change 5 or 10 consolation prizes of RM10 each TO top 10% reviews of the month (up to a max of 10 consolation prizes). And as a sweetener, you can have a big prize for Best Review of the Year, a hamper of your products, say. Anticipation is sweeter than attainment, and you may well attract writers who can write well. Take care it doesn't backfire, eg. a monkey writes something worthless and expect to be paid. And when not paid, he cry father cry mother saying he has been cheated by such and such a website! |
