as what Ben-Davis said, there are ways to get the image or layout source in a certain way, but the way he described it was not done by so-called "newbies"...this is what most web designer do: they know the code and search for it...most newbies just right-click and voila; senang...putting watermark sometimes make things uglier and it's easy to remove especially using colour-matching base, such as your art works...

disabling right-click or image-saving is a plus when it comes to multiple frame such as your site, and it takes some time to view the "real" source code because you simply can't see the source-code straight from Edit>View Source panel via browsers...the more frame it has, the confusing it will be unless the right-click is enabled, which is very easy to view the real source code...

saving the entire site is more to plagiarism, which mostly done by webmaster/web designer than newbies...there are too many pirated sites out there, as you can see at http://www.pirated-sites.com...this is where familiarizing with codings is important...when the "right time" comes, you even can offline-disabled your site, which means although it can be saved but it is "invinsible" and thus, "most" of your work are protected...

you can save my site for example, but before you save it, try to look at the source code first and then save it....then try to view it, and you'll know what i'm talking about...

of course there are ways to deal with it, but i'll leave it to you...

ehehehe...ntah, aku tak pasti apa yang aku pakai, but for sure kalau pakai encryptor mesti ada decryptor dia...contohnya HTML Encryptor 2.1, memang berlambak tools nak decrypt dia...site aku tu pun senang nak tau source code dia, if you know how... ehehe...

it's up to you though...I permit anyone to use my site although I locked it; this will make sure only the real-know-how person can use the codes...I decided to do this because many coders stole the stylesheets and layout design without even modified it and it irritates you a lot especially they took it without even telling you... I've found my own design before at many personal sites, so after that I redesigned it and locked it...it's still up to you though...

hehehhee...I think there have been 5 people told me about similiarities about my site with others, and fortunately all of them are coincidence...the layout is almost the same but with different codings...

but not the link that you mentioned...I asked her and she said that she took it from http://www.waferbaby.com , and this is just for temporary...if you see at Waferbaby.com, there's a tag <div class="airlock">, the same thing goes at her codings...and when I see the codings of Waferbaby.com, there are similiarities in the layout but totally different kind of codings which it is much easier than mine...there are fews that I haven't think it before...

I'm not concerned about the layout though, as long as they change or redesign it and perhaps better than mine...that's why I wouldn't copyrighted the site because I let other people to use it freely, but not my horrible writings...I can't stand receiving my own writings through mailing lists, and even worse with other people's name in it....that's far more than coincidence...

PHP ? ehehhee...just mentioned about it a little bit...

hello.. apa la korang ni.. if the design the same... sometimes it's not copied.. maybe they use the same software designing it.. hehe.. for example la.. if u use Dreamweaver.. much easier to design.. and will be the same design if using the same template.. I've noticed this a lot.. but there are people who likes to copies... dah la kopi.. tak kasi kredit heehehe.. tapi tu la.. last time I've challenge a person that his design is copied from the Flash 5 Magic CD.. he terus quiet and disappear.. haha.. that means he copied it and say that he is the one doing it.. so.. tak perlu kisah sangat.. nak amik.. amik la design orang.. tapi kasi kredit.. baru la kata setanding hehehe.. tol tak semua? anyway.. all have good design.. but aa... err but ape ek? hehe saja ja.. keep cool everyone...

ahahahhaa...aku rasa kitaorang cool jek, takde apa2 problem...I already mentioned this at my site; sometimes there are similarities when it comes to simple design...

yang aku berani cakap pasal coincidence tu sebab semua yang design hampir sama tu pakai hand-coding, and there's no template were used... lagi2 kalau design mostly guna CSS; you can edit this stylesheet pakai dreamweaver tapi you cannot design it properly using any html editor and hand-coding is still needed...unless kalau copy semua tu lain cerita laa, mostly bleh detect terus...

apa2 pun we are all cool....or was it you who cannot stand our kewlness ehh AbgCool ? ehehehe...

The best way to prevent "stealing" is to keep it to yourselves Once you put it on the web and people view it, they are all transfered to their PC, most of them are auto-saved in their PC's cache/temporary folder, so, you know lah...?

jebondz, your website's "original html" source is encrypted by javascript, isn't it? This is a very creative technique... anyway it took me a while, maybe 2-3 minutes to decode it, hehe...

yes, I've tried seeking through Internet Temporary Folder and I can retrieve most of it including pictures but not the layout nor the writings...this was due to cache-disabled functionality using javascript...but there's another very simple technique that no decryption is needed at all in order to get the original source code...and like you said, the best way to prevent "stealing" is by keeping it to ourselves, so tak bleh cakap....ehehehe..
