that's still a long way to go if you're 0 about scripting., but never too old to learn

get a book, a host and get yourself messed - Try & error are best way to learn. Also get hints from websites tutor & articles online. Tons of them..

develop? firstly, decide which dynamic page language you want to use(php, asp, jsp...). Then get documention and books about them. Study and test. Read others code. Trial and error... sleepless nights... (I should stop here. )

it really depend what you would code for. if i were you, i would go and learn php + mysql, a very powerful scripting language.

Hmm...of course the best thing to do would be to learn PHP + MySQL. After that, it really depends on whether u want to develop a CMS from scratch, or use the tools out there. My personal fav. is Movable Type (http://www.movabletype.org). Its a blogging tool, but very adaptable and u can customise it into your own CMS tool.

Well, the answer is yes and no The one they are offering for free is the Limited Free Version whereby 1 author is limited to 3 weblogs (MT supports multiple blogs). The one you have to pay for is the Developer Edition allows for unlimited authors to unlimited number of weblogs. You can see the details here:

http://www.movabletype.org/get_movab...personal.shtml

But really, you don't need the Developer Edition unless if you are a hardcore blogger who owns multiple blogs, like me. That's why I am using the old MT 2.661, not the latest MT 3.0 and above
