Hmm, guess the trick didn't work at all. The space suppose to trick user to think it as the end of the section.

It's a simple and clean design, but I agree that you should not be trying to place more than one page of information 'on one page' in that way.

If you want to avoid the load-time associated with different URLs, load them all in separate DIV elements and switch the visibility parameter between them with javascript. Select one section means you make it visible and all others invisible. In terms of search engines it won't be any worse than what you're doing now.

Why do you need to do so? Some users might find it distracting and annoying.

Yeah, thought about using AJAX, but never have the time to play with it. As for using JS to show/hide the div, just not my preference in doing one page folio. Thanx for the tips though.

starsearcher:
Hmm, the reason I provide the user with "back to top" button is to avoid them unnecessary scrolling. Therefore, I thought if they see nothing bellow the section, why would they even bother to scrool..given there is a "back to top" at that page.
Maybe I'm still lack of experince in understaing user behavior....

ok.. Sounds reasonable too. But, I guess human is very curious. When they can scroll, they will scroll until the end.

Unfortunately, due to many many hours use, most users are now aware of the scrollbar on an unconscious level. It provides subtle feedback on how much more there is to read or see in an article, and informs decisions such as whether to try to read the whole thing, or whether to skim through it.

If you could keep increasing the page length only as the reader got towards the bottom (decreasing the scroll-bar length) then you would get a lot more read out of your article - but would probably make a lot of people annoyed who wouldn't know why they were feeling angry.
